Job purpose
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the routine mechanical activities and preventative maintenance of all process equipment.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure equipment reliability both mechanical and electrical through preventative maintenance routine assessments
- Ensure all process equipment and auxiliaries are properly maintained
- Report abnormal equipment condition to superior so that maintenance work could be scheduled
- Performs troubleshooting and conducts repair or restoration job on equipment
- Assists the Electrician in the plant for some electrical fixtures when needed
- Ensures safekeeping of tools received
- Performs housekeeping in area of responsibility
- Develop preventative maintenance program
- Provide recommendations for equipment upgrade for improved performance or replacement of aged machines
Qualifications and Key Skills*
Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (/ Mechanical/ Electrical) or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in the same role
Excellent interpersonal and communication ability
Sufficient familiarity with schematic and electrical, diagrams/illustrations
Outstanding acquaintance with safety, health, and environment regulations
Good experience in electrical preventive maintenance
Skillful in using electrical tools and equipment
